Student Wellness and Prevention
Our Mission: All DCSD students will know when to get help and where to get help.
Creating a Safe & Supportive Environment for All Students
Douglas County School District values the safety and well-being of each student. In fact, we know before we can create an environment conducive to learning, our students must feel safe, secure and supported. That is why we have developed an innovative Student Wellness & Prevention Framework to proactively address bullying, suicide, and school violence.
Student Wellness & Prevention Framework is designed to:
- Support parents, students, staff and administration in encouraging positive social-emotional development
- Empower healthy habits among students
- Educate kids about when and where to get help for themselves or a peer
- Meet the requirements of the Concerning Measures to Reduce the Frequency of Bullying in Schools ACT (Colorado HB 1254)
