As Cougar Run Elementary marks a major milestone—30 years of excellence in education—we are taking time to look back and honor the dedicated individuals who made it all possible. You are a crucial part of our story!

Over the past three decades, our school has grown, thrived, and set incredible standards of student achievement. Whether reflected in our outstanding test scores, academic accolades, and growth metrics, or in the everyday moments of spark and confidence in our students, your hard work laid the foundation for our success. Every standard met, every lesson taught, and every child inspired is a testament to your dedication during your time with us.

🎒 Back-to-School Meet & Greet, Drop Off Supplies, Student Portraits + PTA Hosting Popsicles in the Park!

We are so excited to welcome our students and families back for another fantastic school year! Join us on August 10 2-3:30 for our annual Back-to-School event to kick off the year together. This is an open house drop-in event—you do not need to stay the whole time! Come by anytime at your convenience between 2:00 PM and 3:30 PM. Please note that we have a firm start time of 2:00 PM and end time of 3:30 PM so our teachers and staff can complete their final first-day preparations.

Here is what you can look forward to:

  • Meet Your Teacher: Pop into your new classroom, say hello, and get familiar with your new classroom! Come anytime between 2 and 3:30. 

  • Drop Off Supplies: Bring your school supplies early so your backpack is light and ready on the first day. If you ordered from School Tools, they will have already been dropped off in your classroom! 

  • Student Photos: Stop by the gym to take your official school portrait for the year! Whether you are purchasing or not, this will be your yearbook photo.  They will be available 2:00-5:00pm. 

  • Popsicles in the Park: Wrap up your visit with a cool treat on the playground 3:30-5:00pm, generously sponsored by our wonderful PTA!
